Job Title: Senior Restructuring & Insolvency Administrator

Location: Central Bristol

Salary: £32-34,000 plus excellent benefits

Purpose of the role:

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity within an ambitious firm? If so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen within this Restructuring and Insolvency department. Within this role you will work with more senior members of the department to achieve departmental strategic objectives, ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department and control of a portfolio of Insolvency and Advisory assignments. The team deal with a variety of formal Insolvency and Advisory assignments.

Specific duties to include:

Assume responsibility for day to day management of a mixed caseload, ensuring that compliance standards required by the R&I department are met and implemented diligently

  • Work with senior team members to devise case strategy and keep them fully informed
  • Work largely without supervision but be "team minded" in support of other members within R&I nationally, particularly on technical matters
  • Think commercially in performance of day to day tasks, mindful of the need to maximise recoveries without compromising compliance standards
  • Ensure files are maintained to a high standard at all times, evidencing efficient case progression and documented recording of key decisions
  • Actively support business development and marketing initiatives for the R&I department
  • Develop internal contacts and be fully aware of services offered by other departments in order to maximise cross selling opportunities
  • Have a good understanding of the firm’s billing procedures, including charge out rates, budgeting and calculation of recovery rates
  • Maintain an up to date and detailed knowledge of insolvency legislation, relevant case law, SIPs and guidance from regulators and other government bodies
  • Interact regularly with local / national team and line Manager / Partner to ensure communication lines are clear and defined
  • Appreciate the need for ongoing client care and liaise with work referrers, professional advisers, key creditors and Business Partners regularly and as appropriate on all live assignments
  • Ensure fees and disbursements are approved and paid as soon as possible
  • Delegate work as required to support staff in accordance with the firm’s guidelines and standards.

Skills and experience required:

  • Professionally qualified CPI/ JIEB and ACA /ACCA qualified or equivalent desirable.
  • Experience within a similar professional services environment
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines without being prompted or reminded
  • Self-motivated, creative and forward thinking, with the confidence to make decisions as necessary
  • Ability to work flexibly, multi-task and to prioritise assignments and projects
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • A track record within the SME sector and IT understanding and competence is desirable
  • An interest and experience in business development and marketing
  • Team orientated and a desire to work in a professional yet relaxed environment
  • Relevant experience primarily in receiverships, administrations and investigations
  • Confident and competent in dealing with clients at all levels
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of IPS and MS Office
