Operations Manager

Circa £40,000

37.5 hours per week plus occasional out of hours cover

We are an innovative provider of social housing not only managing but also building great quality homes including for those who need support and care. We need a highly experienced housing manager with solid senior experience who can effectively manage staff and be accountable for delivering services across a varied portfolio of housing and services. You will need to have a strong background in nurturing partnerships, working effectively with tenants and you will need to have a forward thinking, non-institutional approach to services for vulnerable and/or older people. We welcome fresh ideas, a problem solving approach and creative thinking along with a firm appreciation of contractual, regulatory and legal compliance. You will need to help us manage consistent change and new challenges from both welfare reform, changes to housing and commissioning structures.

You will also possess the experience to be the safeguarding lead for the organisation and be an effective member of the senior management team. We are looking for a confident senior manager with good skills but also the proven ability to adapt, work positively with change and ensure that we deliver our social mission; innovation in social housing.

To be successful in the role you will need to possess:

A solid working background in social housing/ care/ support service management at a senior level

Strong experience of managing staff to deliver defined outcomes and agreed results and successfully supporting staff who are lone working and managing dispersed teams

Ability to act a senior management lead at a time of change

Strategic management experience

A strong knowledge of the housing, support and care sector including welfare reform, benefits and the role of external and statutory agencies along with strong contract management experience

Financial management skills

A full and clean driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites

The ability to take on and manage new challenges, ways of working and services
