Medical Claims Call Handler

6 Month fixed term contract

Start date: 12.06.17

Salary: £17,500 basic + 5% shift allowance - total £18,375

Location: Redhill

Hours: Shift pattern between 8am - 8pm (35 hours per week) Mon-Sat (1 Sat in every 3 and no bank holidays)

My client is looking for customer focused and dynamic candidates to join their busy travel claims team that are based in Redhill.

You will be responsible for handling incoming queries regarding first notification of claims (FNOL) and offering outstanding customer service to policy holders.


* Dealing with incoming calls taking first notification of claims
* Ensuring any required claim forms are dispatched within 24 hours
* Updating the CRM accurately and efficiently
* Process priority claims determined by the Supervisor
* Ensuring claims are investigated thoroughly to minimise fraud
* Ensuring exceptional customer service to all customers
* Complaint handling
* Working to strict SLA's and KPI's

The right candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

* Previous call centre or customer service background
* Excellent telephone manner
* Ideally an insurance or medical background, however it is not a necessity
* Available to start on the 12th June 2017
