SALARY: Grade 9 £27,876-£30,239 plus essential car allowance of up to £1239 dependant on engine size

This is a full time position on a permanent contract.
We are seeking a Contract Manager - Leisure and Culture to join our newly formed Commissioning team. If you have experience of contract management and have worked in the leisure or culture industry, we want to hear from you.
As Contract Manager - Leisure and Culture, you will be responsible for monitoring the major outsourced leisure contracts that mak4e up the majority of the council’s leisure offer. The role reports to the Head of Commissioning and Business Improvement, but you will work closely with the Leisure Manager to ensure that outsourced services, like running Maidstone Leisure Centre and Theatre, are being delivered effectively. This will involve regularly visiting the different sites, building relationships with colleagues across the council and the supplier organisations, investigating complaints, gathering and analysing performance data and writing reports.
Obviously, you will need good organisational and communication skills. You’ll also be flexible and conscientious, able to work on your own initiative to manage and report on contract performance.
This role is customer-facing and the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential element of the role.
