Accountant 12 month FTC starting January 2017
We have recently registered a fantastic opportunity starting in March 2017 for an Accountant working at an established practice in Oxford for a 12 month period of maternity cover. Daily responsibilities include:
• Preparation of statutory accounts for a range of service users
• Completion of VAT returns from client records
• Preparing Corporation Tax and personal tax returns
• Liaising with clients, including details of year-end adjustments
• Assisting and supervising junior staff
• Regular reporting to Partners
Accountant Job requirements
Accountancy practice experience is essential in this role in order to hit the ground running for this maternity cover. You will ideally be ACA, ACCA or QBE qualified and be familiar with carrying out audit work. Previous experience of Sage L50, Quickbooks and Xero is extremely advantageous. You will have great attention to detail and be highly organised, analytical and numerically minded, working in a process driven manner for a range of different clients. You will be a confident user of IT, in particular Excel. You will be a good communicator who is comfortable working both as part of a team and autonomously on your client portfolio.
Our client is an established accountancy practice in central Oxford that are looking for an experienced Accounts professional to provide support and cover to their team during a period of maternity leave.
