Our well established Basingstoke client are currently looking for a Sales Support Specialist to join their team. Working closely with Account Managers, the chosen candidate will be responsible for dealing with renewals as well as bids and tenders.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Working in partnership with designated account managers as an internal sales resource
  • Working closely with the rest of the sales team to provide internal sales resource to all members of the sales team as required
  • Owning and managing CRM updates
  • Running reports and setting up dashboards for sales teams and sales managers
  • Running reports on vendor pipeline
  • Acting as a point of contact for customer liaison and a trusted advisor to your designated customers
  • Qualifying leads, and where appropriate progressing simple and run rate opportunities within your designation account manager's customers
  • Co-ordinating sales documentation, including but not limited to quotations, proposals, estimate summaries and bid responses whilst ensuring consistency and standardisation at all times
  • Acting as the first point of call for incoming sales enquiries, qualifying and assigning inbound sales calls
  • Developing a full understanding of the company's vendors solutions
  • Keeping abreast of special deals and promotions and working closely with company vendors to generate new opportunities
  • Participating in call out days and marketing campaigns
  • Attending relevant training courses as and when required

The ideal candidate:

  • Must have strong Excel skills
  • Must have proven experience of working within an internal sales or customer facing role
  • Must have experience of using a CRM application and sales forecasting tool
  • Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a polite telephone manner
  • Will have excellent attention to detail and be highly organised with strong administrative skills
  • Must be flexible and happy to travel if required
  • Should have a passion for problem solving
