Account Associate - Bournemouth - Competitive Basic + Bonus

Our client, a globally recognised brokerage and risk management company, are looking for an experienced Account Associate to join their friendly and successful team in Bournemouth. You will be responsible for generating leads and business opportunities. This means that you'll be speaking to lapsed clients, looking after existing clients, taking inbound calls generated by direct marketing and contacting new opportunities.

Even though the leads are warm, this role demands that someone have previous outbound experience and a proven track record in talking to clients/customers and generating business or opportunities. A crucial part of the role is having the ability to start a conversation and seek possible chances to introduce products and services.

Your Key Responsibilities:

·Provide a first class support service as part of a team, ensuring effective day to day servicing of client accounts
·Manage client relationships, offering professional advice and assistance whilst keeping clients information up to date
·Maintain awareness of responsibilities under FCA and other regulatory requirements and ensure all activities is conducted in accordance with these
·Keep up to date with insurer placement strategy, sales schemes and new products
·Build up a sales pipeline of business opportunities that will ensure sales targets are met
·Promote and sell additional products to clients
·Build productive relationships with clients to ensure that their renewal needs are fully understood and met
·Collaborate with internal colleagues
·Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and company shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of the business.

Qualifications / Knowledge you will need:

·Cert CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications) desirable
·Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent

Technical Knowledge
·Good knowledge of general insurance products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity
·Awareness of the regulatory requirements in respect of 'advised' and 'non-advised' sales, and in particular evidencing the standards and knowledge required in respect of giving advice and making recommendations to customers
·Good commercial acumen
·Good team working ability
·Experience of dealing with customer relationships
·Evidence of effectively prioritising workflow
·Previous demonstrable experience in insurance and comfortable working to targets

·Good customer service focus
·Identify potential risk/issues and seek advice/consultation when required
·Due diligence and process driven to deadlines
·Good communication and interpersonal skills
·Good planning and analytical skills
·Accuracy and attention to detail
·Takes initiative when assisting team members
·MS office proficiency
