Regulatory Financial Analyst
Exciting Opportunity at Yorkshire Water, Regulatory Financial Analyst, Salary: Circa £40,000 dependent on experience, Based in Bradford Yorkshire Water Head Office
Salary: Circa £40,000 (dependent on experience) + pension + quarterly performance related bonus + 25 days annual leave.
What will the role involve ?
Your role will be part of the financial planning and regulatory finance functions for Kelda Group, ensuring the provision of high quality financial and regulatory analysis.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide assurance to all the models utilised by the team, ensuring they are appropriately governed and have clear processes and accountability in place.
A key part of the role will be to track the Company’s financial performance against Ofwat’s latest Final Determination and report on the prospects for out-performance.
In conjunction with the rest of the team, you will produce sensitivity analysis for the group on key strategic issues on a timely basis and provide ad-hoc financial and modelling support to Regulation & Financial planning colleagues as and when appropriate. E.g. Incentive allowances, Tariff structures, economic appraisal of investment opportunities.
You will also help to anticipate internal and external change and ensure analysis is in place to understand the implications on the value of the group, interfacing with a broad range of internal stakeholders.
As a member of the financial planning team you will contribute to broader group financial planning and analysis work and be part of the centre of excellence for modelling and analysis for Kelda group.
What skills are we looking for ?
Applicants must have an accounting qualification, or currently be studying towards such a qualification. You will also have some experience within audit, or assurance.
To be successful you must have excellent IT skills, particularly within Excel which should be to expert user level. You will also have strong financial knowledge and commercial understanding.
You will be a great communicator, with experience of, and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a network of internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to communicate complex concepts and information to both financial and non-financial people is essential.
You will be an organised, flexible and proactive individual that is able to meet deadlines and manage their own workload.
Ideally you will have an understanding of good practice in modelling and past experience of running and developing complex models.
Previous experience within a utility / regulated business or a large commercially orientated company would also be desirable.

A full valid EU driving licence is required.
This role will be based at Buttershaw, Bradford, but you will occasionally be required to visit other sites and locations in Yorkshire
