Chef de Partie (Pastry) - Boutique Hotel
Our client, a collection of boutique hotels with locations throughout the Southern counties are presently looking for A Chef de Partie with a leaning towards pastry to join it's already established team at this hotel on the outskirts of Guildford.
Boasting 60+ bedrooms all set amongst 26 acres of maintained gardens and woodland this hotel offers it's guests a host of luxury services as well wedding and banqueting facilities.
The role; Reporting to the Head Chef/ Sous Chef you will be leading the pastry section, Ordering and stock control, Along with the Head Chef helping to design menu items for afternoon tea, restaurant and banqueting menus, Producing plated desserts for all menus, Supervision of junior staff members to ensure consistent standards, Adhering to Health & Safety standards.
Duties; Prep production and service of food to the required standard, Assist with prep of orders for food and kitchen supplies, Responsibility for receiving and storing of food/supplies into the kitchen, Assist Head/Sous Chef with daily menu planing and composition, Deputise for the Head/Sous chef in their absence, Daily cleaning duties within the kitchen as directed by the Head Chef.
Requirements; Working 5 days from 7 including weekends, Previous experience in a quality environment, Hold experience to manage the multi menu requirements and busy banqueting operation, Own transport. During a trial shift you will be required to demonstrate your ability to produce plated desserts to a rosette standard.
Salary; £23-25,000 p/a (dependant on experience), 4 weeks holiday + 8 bank holidays, Free car parking, Free uniform + extra benefits after completion of a 3-month probation.
