Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. As a finance professional you will work with key business areas, supporting and advising tactical and operational decision making through insights that drive better business performance.

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant into a temporary role in the Accounting and Transactions Centre of Excellence team within our Financial Headquarters, Port Talbot:

Senior Accountant, Speciality & Bar

This position is offered on a temporary basis as the business has been purchased by Liberty House Group and the work is being permanently moved back to a local finance team in Stocksbridge. The role is currently expected to be transferred back by the end of the 6 months duration of the contract.

The primary responsibility of this role is managing the accounting, reporting and planning activities for the Speciality & Bar business. Typical activities include consolidating, understanding and explaining the business result, taking a lead role in working with senior Business Partners on judgemental provisions and subjective areas, managing the business' balance sheet reconciliation process and external audits, managing key elements of stock provisioning, key performance indicator and ad hoc reporting and explanation of business performance.

The other key responsibility of the role will be to ensure the transfer of work is as smooth and structured as possible. This includes the work for which the role is currently directly responsible (as outlined above) plus elements that arise during the course of the transfer. The latter will be ad hoc in nature but could include treasury-related work and general ledger management.
