Corporate Controller

Our Client:

Our client is an established Media business specialising in the buying, investing, producing and distribution of films. They are currently experiencing an exciting phase of growth and are looking for a Corporate Controller to join the team.



  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the senior management team
  • Manage the accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal, tax, compliance and treasury functions
  • Manage all third-party service providers
  • Implement operational best practices
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory and fiscal obligations

Financial reporting

  • Manage the timely and accurate reporting of financial information of all entities
  • Monthly management account reporting
  • Reporting of such financial information to the relevant board of directors or external bodies

Investor relations

  • Work with investors to provide a high level of service
  • Provide quarterly investor reports and monthly dashboards on the performance of their investment
  • Assist with capital raising process

Financial management

  • Ensure companies are sufficiently liquid and have sufficient capital (both from best practice standpoint as well as from a statutory/legal standpoint)
  • Manage annual budget process and regular re-forecasting process
  • Manage cash deposits
  • Control and management of the company's payment and approval processes
  • Modelling and management of debt or other funding requirements
  • Lead implementation of a new accounting system

Corporate administration

  • Oversee the corporate duties of the various companies
  • Oversee board meetings
  • Oversee AGMs

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified
  • Minimum 5-8 years' professional experience
  • Experience implementing a new finance system
  • Entrepreneurial with the appetite to actively contribute to a fast growing, successful media group
  • Gravitas to deal with institutional investors, banking, legal and other financial services communities
  • Experience in complex international investment structures would be an advantage
  • A proven leader with good management skills

Remuneration Package:

  • Base Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
  • Bonus: 15%
  • Private Health Insurance
  • Pension
