Head of Corporate Communications 

Our client is the agency charged with promoting Manchester on the national and international stage. Our client undertakes marketing and communications on behalf of the group in support of the Greater Manchester Strategy. 

Position: Head of Corporate Stakeholder and Communications 
Location: Manchester City Centre 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37 hours per week 
Salary: £38,243 - £47,804 per annum 

About the role: 

As the Head of Corporate Communications, you will develop, deliver and evaluate effective stakeholder, communication and engagement plans that promotes and positions to relevant stakeholders including GM’s brand partners, local authority leaders, chief executives and regeneration teams. 

Responsibilities: 

- Assist in the development and implementation of a compelling stakeholder strategy, proposition and narrative. 
- Create where possible the opportunity to cross-sell other client services working with the Marketing team and Internal Communications 
- Develop and manage the stakeholder database 
- Implement a digital and social media strategy 
- Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders 
- Develop a communications strategy, creating effective engagement plans that reach and positively influence key stakeholders and media partners 
- Proactively identify, develop and act upon opportunities to build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders 
- Deliver regular and effective communications activity including formal reports and presentations 
- Develop monitoring methods that seek feedback on the volume and regularity of communications 

About you: 

- Graduate calibre or substantial communications experience, significant experience in a communications role ideally in a related or similar field 
- Extensive experience of delivering communications to senior stakeholders 
- Experience in reputation positioning, stakeholder engagement and managing relationships, ideally with senior leaders and / or political structures 
- Experience of developing and delivering strategic brand, communications and stakeholder engagement projects 
- Excellent presentation skills both written and verbal 
- Demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of effective stakeholder communications
