20 hours per week

Salary: £18,428- £20,495 (pro rata) + Accommodation 3 bedroom flat

The role

emh homes are now seeking an older persons co-ordinator to live on site and provide 20 hours of intensive housing management and support service to older sometimes vulnerable leaseholders with housing related needs to facilitate their independence and well being.

Please note - Due to the residential nature of this post, as part of the package of employment the post holder must reside in accommodation on the scheme for which no rental will be applicable.

The role will involve:

  • Carrying out needs assessments in line with the EMH and profile plan processes.

  • Providing a flexible service to meet the needs of the leaseholders to maximise their independence and well being.

  • Providing a wide range of advice and housing related support service to leaseholders.

  • Making sure the scheme is safe - including carrying out Risk Assessments (scheme and personal).

  • Monitoring the work of contractors, such as cleaners, landscapers and ensure any communal areas are kept clean and tidy.

  • Advising and supporting customers with low level ASB problems.

  • Responding appropriately in emergencies in a professional manner in line with EMH Policies and Procedures.

  • Collating and recording performance information.

    The ideal candidate:

    The successful candidate will have experience in housing and working with older people. You will have excellent communication skills including verbally, in writing and listening and have the ability to deal with difficult situations. You will be able to work in a team as well as on your own. Have the ability to learn new skills and be flexible. You will have a polite, approachable, reliable and conscientious.


    Educated to GCSE or equivalent level in Maths and English, and ideally an NVQ in Supported Housing / Care
