Distribution Shift Manager, Wakefield


Salary - Circa £45,000

What you become a part of

A safety conscious distribution team that have an LTA free record for the last 7 years. It is fast paced hybrid warehouse operating 24/7, with a 10,000 pallet per day throughput supporting production line storage, inbound goods receipt and distribution to customers, internal stock transfers & 3rd party storage.

What to expect

Manage the Warehouse and loading of finished products onto vehicles efficiently to meet the site customer logistics plan.

Effectively and efficiently optimising the warehouse capacity, ensuring that the finished manufactured products are loaded on to vehicles for onward deliver to customers according to the site schedule.

The management of loading/unloading of inter-site transfers/storage loads, customer returns and refusals and accounting for stock, ensuring stock is accurately accounted for and stored efficiently and effectively.

Driving performance and efficiency in the team that you manage to ensure that cost and service are delivered on in line with business budgets to drive, maintain and exceed customer protection and expectation.

Working closely with your team to ensure all objectives are achieved, embracing and driving team working and flexibility to support the achievement of team/department/site objectives.

The delivery of key projects and OE programmes, sharing and replicating good practice with colleagues to improve processes and work through issues to resolution.

What we expect of you

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a FMCG environment with a strong background in people management. Key to this role is strong organisational and communication skills with an ability to perform under high levels of pressure within a fast paced environment. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate the ability to maintain and make sound, timely decisions, without losing sight of the bigger picture, and/or long term objectives.
