My client, as precision engineering company, are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team.

My client offers integrated solutions for original equipment manufacturers. My client has location in 11 countries to work with manufacturers and operators to provide the most technologically advanced solutions.

The Mechanical Engineer role requires an experienced Engineer who has experience in defining and creating Operating and Controlling procedures, datacards and CNC/NC programs, ideally within Aerospace Components.

You will be responsible for one (or more) assigned process(es) and will have a full technical understanding in order to support NPI programs, improve TAT, quality and yield.

The ideal Mechanical Engineer will have a significant (minimum of 5 years’) experience in defining and creating Operating and Controlling procedures, datacards and CNC/NC programs

The ideal candidate will also have :

  • Strong experience in at least one of the following processes: 5 axis grinding, EDM, CMM inspection, Thermal Spray, Coating, PVD, Laser Systems or Furnace Programming.

  • Experience of project management and process control experience.

  • Strong ability to lead projects and train others

  • Create and interpret cost- benefit analyses

  • Experience in introducing and statistically qualifying new grinding machine tools and equipment in to a factory environment

  • Knowledge of the method of manufacturing and processes used to manufacture turbine components (blades, static vanes, seal segments)

  • Six Sigma Green or Black belt accreditation – Knowledge and understanding og the use of process control and problem investigation tools (PFMEA’s, Control Plans, RCA, 7 step, 5 whys etc)

  • Methodical, logical approach to problem solving and excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively upwards and downwards within the organisation and to train others

  • Good team ethic with collaborative attitude and a flexible approach and a strong drive for results

  • Strong GD&T skills
