Our client is looking for a Toddler Room Leader that has least a level 3 qualification and experience of working as a room leader to join their wonderful team based in Angel Islington and Highbury Nurseries.

Salary is negotiable and based on the candidate's level of experience, and relevant qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Policies & Procedures/Safeguarding:
- Ensure Policies & Procedures are effectively implemented for your room.
- Ensure that all risk assessments are complete and regularly reviewed for your room.
- Ensure all team members understand the Policies & Procedures.
- Ensure daily and weekly reporting sheets are displayed, completed and understood by the team.

Educational Curriculum:
- Ensure all team members understand the EYFS, and how to implement it effectively into children's learning.
- Planning is consistent and progressive and ensures appropriate progress for each child.
- Ensure that the planning is implemented as per the routine with appropriate flexibility to accommodate child initiated learning.
- Ensure quality and quantity of observations are implemented consistently for each child.
- Ensure primary focus of educational development through positive role modeling, training and support to Nursery Practitioners.
- Ensure all team members are adequately trained and confident in the use of tablets for observations.

Team Management:
- Ensure child:adult ratios are maintained within policy at all times.
- Ensure the team are informed of the weekly/daily agenda in the Nursery/Room.
- Ensure the team are engaged, motivated and well supported.
- Ensure that all team members are inducted and trained ongoing to effectively fulfill their role.
- Monitor resources and supplies for the room.

Facilities Management:
- Ensure all equipment, furniture; toilets and sinks in your room are safe, clean & hygienic, tidy and well stocked where necessary.

Parent Partnerships:
- Create and nurture positive working relationship with parents/carers.
- Share and encourage use of online Learning Journals parent comments box.
- Participate in parents evenings, open days etc. as required.

Daily/Weekly Operations:
- Ensure that the Daily and Weekly routines are established, communicated and understood by all team members, and ensure all team members receive the required support and materials to fulfill the routines.
- Organise adequate cover and management of team breaks, meals, sleep, garden and outings.
