Due to a continued period of innovative Business change, Argos currently has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Development Analyst to join our Commercial Supply Chain Import Development team at our Head Office in Milton Keynes.

As a Supply Chain Development Analyst you will play an integral role responsible for supporting the Imports and Commercial Supply team with accurate reporting/information data as well as maintaining departmental databases and providing ad-hoc reports.

As the Supply Analyst you will have responsibility for:

Supporting Argos’s Import Development programme, working closely with core teams to support the implimentation of key projects.

Supporting process efficiencies to optimise working practises to drive increased availability

Identifying and supporting cost reduction programmes through the supply chain

Influencing suppliers and sourcing teams to deliver required change in behaviours to drive benefit

Supporting end to end supply chain initiatives from sourcing through to UK network optimisation

Identifying areas for improvement and finding solutions using data, research and analysis

Engaging and communicating with Buyers and Category Managers within Trading, challenging and influencing where appropriate to deliver corporate targets

Supporting the Imports operation team in preparation of presentations, analysis, KPI tracking & explanations/comments

Creating Reporting

Providing adhoc analyst data

Continuously reviewing usage level of reports and identify need for re-training or opportunities for rationalisation

Helping to maintain departmental Access databases and archives

To be successful in this role we ask that you:

Have expert knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access

Ideally have knowledge of VBA and Tableau

Have experience of working with large data sets and creation of reporting dashboards from scratch

Be highly numerate

Are able to work efficiently whilst maintaining accuracy when up against tight deadlines

Have experience within Retail and Supply Chain (highly advantageous but not essential)

Hold strong communication skills

Are a self-starter and able to work at times on your own as well as in teams

Are eager to learn, develop and progress
