This company's core capability is enabling environmental compliance: providing effective solutions for the legal compliance of wastewater discharges and air emissions.

They serve all of the UK wastewater utility companies and their Tier 1 contractors. They are also well-established in the waste industry and have clients in many different industrial sectors: petrochemical, medical, chemical, food processing, energy, mining, quarrying, and steel.

Position overview
You will be an enthusiastic, proactive, honest and hard-working individual with a 'can-do' attitude, working as an installation and maintenance engineer in a busy and growing organisation.

You must be willing and able to travel throughout the UK and possibly overseas, with overnights away from home as required - sometimes being away for a full week and returning home for the weekend. You will need to be fit, self-initiated and able to overcome challenges that arise on site, and have the ability to meet targets and deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience
- Broad working knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Past experience with wastewater treatment equipment and/or the wastewater industry
- Past experience relevant to the job role
- Past experience with most, if not all, of the following:
a. Rotating equipment such as bearings, couplings and gearboxes for shaft diameters of <100mm
b. Basic 3-phase electrical work
c. Basic electrical troubleshooting
d. Diesel engines
e. Water pumps
- Mechanical or engineering qualification
- Minimum two-day accredited Health & Safety Management training course (SSSTS or SSSMS, CCNSG)
- IT literacy
- CSCS Card
- UK driving license
- IPAF (preferable)
- Working at height (preferable)
- PASMA (preferable)
- Confined Space (preferable)
- Slinger / Lift Supervisor / Appointed Person (preferable)

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Installing, servicing and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment and odour/dust suppression systems on customers' sites
- Preparing equipment and picking parts in view of the above
- Managing van stock of spare parts and consumables
- Maintaining in a ready-to-go state, and preparing for despatch, the company's hire fleet of aeration equipment and odour/dust suppression; including troubleshooting, repairs and servicing
- Occasional: fulfilling customer orders and despatching warehouse goods and hire equipment quickly and correctly in line with the company's core competency of 'Rapid: right, on time'
- Occasional: receiving and offloading deliveries and storing them appropriately

Key Performance Indicators
- Fulfilling installations and service work on time, within budget constraints, to full client satisfaction and with zero harm
- Maintaining high standards of quality, health, safety and environmental compliance
- Working to approved methods and completing all paperwork as required
