A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced and talented individual to join a dynamic and reputable North West based developer on a permanent basis as a Construction Manager.
My client is a leading North West developer, who delivers prestigious developments in the Manchester area ranging from £5 million to £60 million.
The company is currently working on a flagship development in Manchester City Centre, consisting of 4 tower blocks ranging from 37 to 64 storeys totalling 1500 apartments. The development will also consist of leisure facilities including; swimming pool and gymnasium, cinema, rooftop bar, office units and underground car park facilities.
Based in Manchester City Centre, the Construction Manager will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for providing leadership and management for allocated areas supporting the delivery of the project in a safe, defect free manner on time and within budget.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
" Contribute to the achievement of the H&S objectives
" Deliver appointed packages to the client within budget
" Work with the project manager to deliver detailed and accurate short term programmes of work.
" Manage the budget and delivery of your allocated packages
" Provide accurate and timely reporting of progress
" Plan the programming of day to day resource requirement
" Lead section meetings and review progress in productivity and design
" Prepare method statements and risk assessments
" Ensure site diaries are kept up to date and labour and plant returns are submitted on a weekly basis
" Implementing design team subcontractor drawing and details
" Interpret drawings and specifications
The successful Construction Manager must have a proven track record working on large commercial and residential developments for a main contractor. You will have a detailed knowledge of H&S legislation, excellent leadership and management skills and the resilience to work under pressure.
In return, you will be rewarded with a generous basic salary in the region of £35,000 to £45,000 plus a fantastic package including car allowance, company pension and a bonus scheme.
