Public Sector
Contract Type
Part Time

Thanks to the ongoing success of the current service, we are looking to expand our team of dedicated support workers in Devizes. Our house in Devizes is a large, light bungalow set on the side of a hill which overlooks the infamous `white horse` on the hill. Here, we are currently supporting a lady and 2 gentlemen, with ages ranging from mid-40`s to mid-50`s.

We currently have a part-time opportunity available, offering 20 hours per week. Shifts are rota based and will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and include sleep ins. Flexibility is important as all our shifts will be spread across the weekdays and weekends.

There are a number of different things that are important to the people we support with each person having something that is particularly important to them. D.G really enjoys cars and it`s important that they buy a car magazine at once a month. Furthermore, B.D is passionate about their social life and insists on speaking to two friends every week - who wouldn`t want a friend like that?

The people we support need to be supported in an open, cheerful and professional manner. Following our person centred approach to care, it is important to recognise that each person we support requires support with different things. K.C needs additional support with household tasks and exercising more (doesn`t that sound familiar!) - while D.G needs support with finances and shopping.

As a support worker, all you`ll need to have is a positive attitude and a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. If you support the people we care for, we will support you with award winning training and progression opportunities throughout your career with us.

For further details of this role please click on the `additional information` attachments at the bottom of this advertisement - from here you will be able to read all of the one page profiles of the people we support, offering you an insight to the people you will be supporting.

Enhanced DBS is required for each successful candidate.
