Research and Evaluation Analyst

Location: Based in the Banbury office OX17 1JA and other locations as required (including client premises and potentially home working)

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 depending on experience

While only having being formed in 2017, our client are Transport Behaviour and Safety Consultants with a team with over 10 years’ experience working together. Using this vast experience they:

  • Investigate what works and what doesn't in the fields of road safety, public health and sustainability
  • Help organisations review their programmes with an independent viewpoint and critical thinking
  • Supply innovative reports to give insight into public health and transport issues in your areas of interest
  • Provide advanced analytical and data visualisation technologies with online delivery through dashboards and maps

Job Purpose

The post holder will support delivery of a range of high quality research and evaluation products provided by our client and their associated companies. They will also support clients to ensure they derive maximum benefit from evaluation projects, and deliver services such as focus groups to clients.

Key Responsibilities of the Research and Evaluation Analyst

  • Design and deliver evaluation projects for road safety interventions as directed by the Head of Research, employing a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods appropriate to client needs
  • Conduct client liaison as necessary to facilitate evaluation projects
  • Deliver focus groups and other client facing sessions for evaluation projects as and when required
  • Review and synthesise the results of previous evaluations
  • Use statistical methods to determine significance of results
  • Support delivery of insight studies and bespoke research projects for clients
  • Prepare, author and proofread client report documents
  • Communicate and connect with clients and other road safety stakeholders to support service delivery
  • Pursue continuous professional development and training to maintain relevant knowledge and skills

Requirements of the Research and Evaluation Analyst

  • Educated to A-Level standard as minimum
  • Degree educated is strongly preferred
  • Any relevant professional training or technical certifications would be beneficial
  • Full U.K. driving license with use of your own car is essential as this role will require some travel
  • IT literate
  • Some knowledge and understanding of Road Safety would be beneficial
  • Previous experience in Evaluation Methodology and/orDocument design and presentation would be highly beneficial
