A global research consultancy specialising in the media and communications industry are looking to hire into their Data Science and modelling team. They need a manager with strong skills in SAS and wider coding to lead a team of 3. They are the fastest growing division in the business. Catering to a range of blue-chip media brands, they provide research and insights around brand and campaign performance, communications strategies and media measurement.

Role of Data Modelling Manager - SAS

This role is based in their Data Science unit which is made up of programmers, statisticians and analysts all looking to innovate and push the boundaries of analysis. Their team reflects their clients need for analysis on passive measurement technologies, complex modelling, data integration and calibration methodologies.

Skills in the team include advanced stats, regression modelling, probability theory, big data processing, complex survey design etc.

As the Lead Statistician, your role will be crucial in developing their statistical expertise and in innovating data science techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Act as the core lead for statistics within the Data Science team.
- Manage a team of 3
- Using SAS coding to advanced level
- Working on projects across TV, radio, print, online, outdoor, mobile, entertainment and telecoms.
- Coordinate and manage statistical project activities
- Work with various project teams across all research projects
- Campion new statistical techniques
- Mentorship and training of junior team members.

Requirements of Data Modelling Manager - SAS

- Qualifications in mathematics, or statistics
- Solid applied statistical experience
- Knowledge of applied statistics like multivariate analysis, probability modelling, distribution fitting, time series analysis, machine learning and data mining techniques.
- Knowledge of one or more of SAS, R, SPSS, Python
