Care First Recruitment Ltd currently require 2x Regional Managers To lead the development and delivery of high quality Care & Support services in a range of settings within a defined geographical area. you must have extensive experience in extra care services, supported living, frail elderly, mental health.

As part of this to:

  • Represent Care & Support externally at a regional and local level with internal and external stakeholders to design and develop services and products which are responsive, relevant and competitive and in line with best practice
  • Have commercial expertise and business acumen to identify new opportunities, win new contracts and market Care & Support services
  • Ensure operational services deliver excellent, innovative and flexible personalised care and support and continuously improving with high performance
  • Lead by example, setting and meeting challenging operational targets in line with corporate objectives and best practice


Strategic Formation & Implementation

  • Ensure the Care & Support strategic aim is in line with the overall vision and strategy

  • Support the Head of Operations in corporate decision making to ensure the Care & Support function maximises it’s short, medium and long term objectives.

    Operational Delivery

  • Effectively manage a portfolio of contracts, some of which are high value and complex

  • Manage a substantial portfolio of property across a defined geographical area

  • Develop and proactively manage a large multi income streamed budget meeting income and expenditure targets

  • Work with the Business Development team to identify new business opportunities, bidding for new tenders, preparing reports and delivering presentations to external stakeholders as appropriate

  • Consistently looking for new and innovative ways of securing future contracts including working with potentially new customer groups and with different partners to develop new products and services models

  • Manage a team of Local/Senior Services Managers who deliver a range of services across geographically disparate locations to deliver a flexible, responsive, personalised services in line with best practice to customers with a range of needs

Experience - Essential

  • Excellent record of operational management in housing related support and social housing management

  • Experience of successfully leading a large and disparate workforce operating from multiple locations

  • Significant experience of devising and managing budgets

  • Experience of using performance management with evidence of sustainable continuous improvement

  • Demonstrable experience of securing new business, developing contracts and tenders

Knowledge and Skills - Essential

  • Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen

  • Extensive negotiating and contract management skills

  • Excellent relationship management skills used for building and maintaining effective and productive partnerships both internally and externally

  • Proven leadership, management and team building skills

  • Lateral thinking and creative flair with a proven ability to analyse and solve problems

  • Knowledge and understanding of different models of care and support delivered in different settings

  • An up to date understanding of key policy and practice issues relating to different groups of adults and older people

  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of legislation, national policy and best practice in housing related support and social housing management

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the Care and Support external market and competitive awareness

  • Knowledge of best practice and statutory requirements in providing services for adults and older people needing care or support.

  • Understanding and commitment to promoting diversity

  • NVQ level 5 or equivalent and have managed up to 9

All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and 5 years checkable work history.

This position will possibly lead to a permanent position.
