Reports to: Head of Compliance

Location: Ongar, Essex

Bower is looking for the right candidate to be part of our compliance team as an administrator. The Compliance Administrator is part of a Compliance monitoring team that ensures the company's practices comply with FCA regulations and guidelines to provide activities including both monitoring and advisory areas. The role demands an organised and numerate individual with excellent attention to detail. Either with some experience within Compliance, or alternatively an established grounding in Financial Services that will equip you with the relevant product knowledge.

The Role

To join the busy Compliance department and take on the position that will include:

  • Checking documents present in new case file applications
  • Assist Training and Competency Supervisor with the review of case files using a risk based compliance monitoring system and following up on outstanding action points
  • Updating and maintaining Financial promotions
  • Analysis of cases that are no longer progressing
  • Maintaining Adviser CPD logs
  • Treasury Sanction Requests
  • Compiling information for firm and Introducer agreements
  • Communicating company policies to other members of the organisation
  • Manage the internal exam site
  • Maintenance of registers and filing of records both paper and digital
  • Maintenance and updating manuals and paperwork
  • Support the office with ad hoc Administration tasks as required

Personal Specification

We are looking for someone with the following skillset:

  • Strong administration, numeracy and IT skills
  • Excellent written, report writing and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Confidential and discreet
  • Expertise in all office technology - Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Attention to detail and high standard of work
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in compliance
