Tactical Support Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tactical Support Manager to join our Water Recycling team on a permanent basis. Providing cover to the Rutland, Northampton and Pitsford areas and reporting directly to the Regional Treatment Manager, you'll be responsible for providing tactical support to ensure the effective operating of some of our Water Recycling Centres in the catchment area.
You'll make sure that operations are carried out in an effective and efficient manner and minimise operational risk. Incident management and investigation is an important part of this role along with the expertise of making sure we provide a response and resolution to our customers when required.
Effective treatment of wastewater is a top priority for us so you'll ensure that sludge production and treatment capacities are balanced and providing the correct feed to our Sludge Treatment Centre. In addition, you'll have a small team to manage and develop.
To succeed in this important role you'll need to ensure you have the right skills and experience which includes:
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent with an appropriate professional qualification
- Significant experience and a detailed understanding of Water Recycling management
- Proven operational management experience within a similar environment
- Strong leadership skills demonstrating how you lead a high performing team
- The ability to make important decisions when under pressure along with thinking on a strategic level
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to communicate and sometimes influence a varied audience
- The ability to present complex information to a non-specialised audience
This role will require frequent travel within the catchment so if you are successful in your application, you will benefit from access to a company vehicle, so a driving licence is essential. If you are offered the role, the status of your driving licence will be checked. You'll also need to be flexible for some standby and callout as we provide water recycling services to our customers 24/7.
