An opportunity has arisen for a Transport Supervisor based in South West London

Reporting to the Transport Manager the successful candidate must be flexible in their approach to work, highly customer service driven, a great motivator and a clear front line leader.

A good knowledge of Managing a large scale operation is essential as well as being passionate about people and being committed to delivering a truly outstanding customer experience. Key responsibilities to this role will include but not be limited to:

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

· Customer Service & Communication skills internal / external

· Ability to lead and inspire a team of administrators driving continuous improvement with overall service to our customers

· Recruitment, retention and training / development of both our driving and admin team.

· Contributing to key projects and objectives for both the depot and the business

· Management of 3rd party maintenance provider and service level agreements

· Cost control - budgetary management experience

· Experience of different fleet performance management systems

· Experience of and compliance to internal quality management systems

The Person

Ideally having worked in a similar role with previous experience of managing people or processes within a Distribution environment

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

· 3 years experience of managing large teams within a fast moving distribution environment

· Computer literacy

· Results focused

· Good communication skills

· Computer literate

· Prepared to be "hands" on when the need arises

· Calmness under pressure

· Customer focused
