My client is a leading insurance business, seeking a talented marketing analyst to conduct research and analysis to quantify opportunities for improvement and provide regular reporting on the development of new capabilities through both internal and external data sources.
This role falls within a new Marketing function, and is focused on embedding new capabilities, rather than running existing processes, so if you have strong project skills and enjoy providing business insight through research and analysis, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
A key role in the establishment of the client's marketing capabilities, you will play a vital role in providing analytics, marketing insight and business intelligence across all business units and locations.
Key focus areas:
Marketing Analysis: A subject matter in client analytics, you will implement scoring methodology and survey process, supporting client segmentation initiatives.
Business Analysis: Providing regular reporting, analysis and deep-dive analysis on marketing performance, KPI's on quote, hit and retention ratios, underwriting market intelligence and broker relationships. As such you must be familiar with internal reporting and analytics tools.
Strategic Analysis: Providing ad-hoc consultancy on request to strategic business units and executive boards to support specific business initiatives and testing business hypotheses; identifying what data is required, sourcing data, and conducting analysis and assessment on business impact. Assessing client needs, competitors within the insurance market and macro environment trends.
Data and Technology: Acquiring and delivering client related data to the business from across the client's systems, external sources and new arrangements with third party providers, Supporting technology developments in respect of client relationship management.
Key skills required:
-Educated to degree level, ideally in a, business-related, analytical or research-related degree - e.g. Business Management, Statistics, Psychology, Sociology, Mathematics.
-A highly analytical mind-set and career background to date.
-The ability to connect cause and effect through research.
-Experienced in marketing analysis/analytics, business analysis.
-Knowledge of underwriting or insurance industry strongly preferred.
-Advanced IT capabilities, especially analytics/reporting tools and CRM software.
-Experience of MS Dynamics would be a significant advantage.
-Commercial acumen, alongside the ability to network and collaborate effectively with all business units, internal and external customers.
-Client-centric and keeps the end service to the user at the heart of all you do.
-Strong communication and presentation skills are a must.
