My client, based in TN16 is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join there team.The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills and "may" be studying for a professional qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities

Preparation of reports for sales
Financial transactions and reporting
Intrastat & ECSL monthly declarations
Computer system support and enhancements
Budget Preparation
G/L Reconciliations,investigations and journal entries
Assist with month end reporting
Currency management

Skills & Knowledge required

* Min 2+ years experience working in a finance department

* Experience of working in an Accounts team, up to trial balance

* Advanced excel skills - vlookups. pivot tables, formatting, linked workbooks etc

* Experience of investigating sales margin discrepancies

* AAT qualified

The ideal candidate needs to be able to work methodically, good communication skills, build relationships, confident in face to face aswell as on the phone, ability to influence (chasing information and investigating issues) and a great attention to detail.

Experience in Sage ERP x 3 is desirable not essential.
