Public Sector
Contract Type
Part Time

Thanks to the ongoing success of the current service, we are looking to expand our team of dedicated support workers in Cranleigh. Cranleigh is a small village 8 miles south of Guildford, due to lack of public transport links you will need access to a car. Our service in Cranleigh is based in a beautiful old house in the centre of the village. We support 6 individuals with a wide range of ages - from 35 to 70, offering a real variety in both personalities and experiences.

We have various contracts available and welcome applicants that are looking for part-time, full-time and relief opportunities. Shifts are on a rota basis, with an aim for our support workers to have every other weekend off. Shifts will include mornings, afternoons and evenings which may include sleeping in. Flexibility is important as all our shifts will be spread across the weekdays and weekends.

The people we support see a number of things as being important to them, with a wide variety of passions being displayed throughout the service. S.W feels that friendships are very important to them, and so they thoroughly enjoy going to Rowleys Day Centre for both dinner and bingo, as well attending the Cranleigh Project. S.M also enjoys going to the Cranleigh Project, however they also see sleep as being important to them - who doesn`t like waking up well rested and ready for the day ahead?

As a support worker, you will need to support the people within the service through a variety of things. You may need to support the people within the service with daily living tasks, including preparing meals, cleaning and helping the people we support with their finances; as these tasks allow the people we support to live the life they choose. The people we support also would like support with their own hobbies - T.D would like support to visit places outside of Cranleigh, including holidays!

As a support worker, all you`ll need to have is a positive attitude and a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. If you support those within our service, we will support you with award-winning training and progression opportunities throughout your career with us.
