Insurance Sales Advisor

£17,500 basic OTE £25,900

Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm

We are currently recruiting an Insurance Sales Advisor for our Birmingham Branch. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing business.

Role Objectives

  • Provide support to clients and ensure conversion of new business, to service existing accounts and to ensure the retention of renewals
  • Achieve company income targets in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Dealing with client enquiries face to face, by telephone, email, fax and text message
  • Provide excellent professional customer service at all times
  • Ensure that all clients are treated fairly at all times
  • Assist with the efficient and safe running of the Branch
  • Carry out all tasks allocated to you by your Supervisor
  • Obtain quotations using either computerised quotation systems, manual rating guides or by referral to underwriters or insurers.
  • Communicate quotations to the client, advising them of the most
  • appropriate in terms of price and cover to meet the client’s needs.
  • Accept the clients instructions, either verbally or in writing, to arrange incept insurance cover for new business, policy adjustments and renewals

Person specification

  • We are looking for a reliable, articulate and self-motivated individual
  • You must be able to work as part of a team and also use your own initiative
  • Confident in using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent and confident manner when dealing with people at all levels, either by telephone or in person, with confidence to be able to cold call leads
  • Must have a good standard of English, both spoken and written
