Job description

As a member of the Electronics Engineering support team the successful applicant will be required to contribute towards the development of new products and the enhancement of current products designed for use in hazardous areas. The successful candidate will also provide support to the production department and engage with the customer base worldwide providing post-sales support.

Experience and requirements

The successful candidate will preferably be a Graduate Electronics Engineer with at least 3 years experience within an electronics design/development/systems environment including analogue and digital techniques who has worked within an ISO9000 manufacturing and design environment.

Familiarity with surface mount technology and proficiency in soldering such components is a re-requisite as is a good mechanical aptitude.

The ideal candidate will be entitled to work in the UK. He/she will be confident and a good communicator capable of demonstrating initiative, resourcefulness and a practical 'can do’ attitude. Proficient in written and spoken English with a good knowledge of MS Office. An understanding of the ATEX Directives would be useful but is not essential.

Candidates must be able to rapidly adapt to the everyday requirements of a busy working environment often with tight timescales and should be comfortable talking with management, suppliers and customers and be willing to travel occasionally, sometimes overseas.
