Night Porter

Company: CRM Students Limited
Location: Clifton and Stewart House, Glasgow
Dept: Facilities
Direct Reports: None

Key Purpose of the role:

Assist in the provision of service to occupants in accordance with CRM requirements.
Reporting to: Accommodation Manager

Key Tasks

Communal Area Checks

The checking on a regular basis of :

? Corridors and Fire safety Checks
? Stairwells and Fire Exits
? All Common Areas.
? Gym and Laundry
? Reception area appropriately illuminated
? Record all checks for the company Health and safety guidelines

Monitor CCTV

? Maintain a security presence in the building during contracted hours
? Ensure that ALL guests and visitors sign in the register
? Reporting of noise and other complaints
? Reporting of any other unusual activity
? Reporting of lock out issues
? Record all checks for the company Health and safety guidelines

Cleaning

? Rotate outdoor bins and log on sheet
? Empty all communal bins including reception and office
? Clean up all student communal areas
? Brush and wash all stairwells and exit areas
? Hoover and wash reception and office floors
? Polish reception desk and mirrors
? Wash reception windows
? To generally ensure all communal areas are clean and litter free (wipe down door handles, handrails etc)

Maintenance

? Replace light bulbs,
? Fitting toilet seats,
? unblocking sinks and showers,
? Changing and re-aligning lo
? Other maintenance tasks as required within skill set of individual (and within health and safety guidelines)
? To carry out any other maintenance work that is required.
? To facilitate planned summer works during summer turnaround period

Administration & Any other Business

? Property Equipment Stock Check
? Completion of all logs at the end of the shift
? Update monthly Project Book
? Check handover book and log any additional information
? Respond to requests for support and services as directed by accommodation manager or assistant manager as defined by service level agreements and CRM requirements.
? Community & Customer relations
? Assist students with any out of hours enquires
? Ensure the safety needs and welfare needs of the students are being met
? Deal with lock outs or other minor emergencies promptly
? Be aware of company policies regarding major incidents
