An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join the Conveyancing team at a company just outside of Manchester, which allows onsite parking.

The Role:

  • To assist with secretarial and administrative tasks working for Fee Earners and a Solicitor.

  • To provide assistance to others in the Team and Group when required.

  • Digital dictation (audio typing)

  • Land registry searches

  • Creating/amending documents.

  • Dealing with clients by phone, taking messages and general calls.

  • Filing, electronic filing and general admin duties such as faxing and photocopying.

  • Assisting the Team/Group with overflow typing.

  • Managing diary appointments and making arrangements for meetings.

  • Making travel and accommodation arrangements for partners and fee earners where required.

  • Business Development materials and activities

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with Conveyancing, pre and post completion.

  • Strong IT systems skills are required with working knowledge of Microsoft Word,

  • Excel and PowerPoint. Experience of Outlook for Emails and Diary Management.

  • Ideally looking for previous experience of document management systems.

  • Excellent communication skills with a good telephone manner and client care expertise are essential.

  • Accuracy, sound organisational skills and flexibility are also required along with previous secretarial experience in a legal environment.

  • Candidates should ideally be experienced with Copy & Audio typing (digital dictation)- 65wpm/90%+ accuracy.

Salary is up to £22,000 dependant on experience.
