£30,000 - £40,000/pa

This is an excellent opportunity to work as a Service Charge Accountant for an award winning estate agent & letting agent based in Tunbridge Wells. You will be liaising with their clients to ensure excellent service and communication levels are maintained at all times, delivering and exceeding the service levels their clients want.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Liaising directly with the bank on banking matters. Transferring money between accounts internally & by BACS
  • Production of monthly management accounts for external clients to include expenditure reports using Resident software
  • Identifying and investigating variances arising between actual & budgeted figures on the preparation of the reports and discussing them with the relevant parties.
  • Managing general ledger maintenance, journal preparation and account reconciliation on weekly & monthly basis.
  • Generating & issuing service charges demands on quarterly, six monthly & annual basis as per client leases.
  • Entering new properties onto Resident, detailing client & property details, entering new units; freehold and leaseholder names and addresses. Entering any outstanding creditors from previous managing agents onto Resident.
  • Liaison and coordinate between new client and previous managing agents for smooth transfer of all relevant documentation.
  • Monthly client reporting to the Company Director and collating all required information in preparation for Annual General Meetings and Directors Meetings.

Required experience & qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate would have 2 - 3 years relevant experience.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Service Charge budgets experience is desired but not essential
  • Qualifications (desired but not essential): AIRPM, ACCA
