Technical Product Manager

This opportunity will be working for a world renowned company which has been established over 60 years ago. The company is a specialist manufacturer of efficient boilers. Therefore the candidate will come from a Boiler/heating engineer background.

The Technical Product Manager must be a highly professional, dedicated, self-motivated individual committed to achieving personal and business goals and provide "UNRIVALLED SUPPORT" to existing Gas Safe Registered Selected Partners, helping them to grow and protect their business.

Based from home covering a defined geographical area within the Peterborough and wider surrounding areas you will work in conjunction with a dedicated office based outbound team. To maximise business efficiency the outbound team will maintain the diary of the Technical Product Manager on a day to day basis, ensuring that each Technical Product Manager has the opportunity to meet with two potential new customers (virgin appointments) each working day.

The position would suit an Engineer who is looking to progress their career using their technical understanding to help customers.

Report to National Sales Director:

Hours of work 8.30am –5.30pm Monday to Friday, or such hours that are necessary for the efficient performance of your duties.

Duties, as below

• Confirming every appointment via phone call 1 day before

• Open new account with Gas Safe Registered installer at the appointment

• Ensure accounts terms provide best opportunity for profit and sustainable growth

• Revisit new account circa 3 weeks post virgin call to provide further guidance/training

• Remain in contact with all new accounts & drive to the point of first spend

• Technical assistance on first install if required

• Ensure established accounts (8+) contacted monthly and visited quarterly to grow business

• Act as first point of contact the companies Partners & ensure satisfactory experience

• Ensure full administration on company software is up to date

• Ensure all visit requests from companies selected Partners are fed to outbound team to schedule

• Responsible for management of contingency stock holding

• Ensure regular return of faulty component for quality process

• Relay all feedback (positive/negative) into the business to ensure continuous improvements
