Bar and Functions Manager required for a unique private members’ sports club, located in South West London.

Set in a 100 acres of parkland, in the South of London.
Offering Golf, tennis, croquet and squash facilities, as well as two swimming pools, state of the art gym and fitness studio to their members.
With amazing events facilities, for weddings, parties, conferences and event dinners

The successful candidate will have varied experience at Management level, in a similar high profile, high turnover establishment. Demonstrating a passion for customer service. Working 40 hours per week on a rota basis to include weekends.
£28,000 - £30,000 working within a unique private members’ establishment.

Purpose of the role
To assist with the management, control and development of the Food and Beverage department with specific responsibility for the Bar and Functions sections. Management of the F & B team, includes recruitment, performance management plus the training and development of staff, achievement of all financial targets and the maintenance of high service delivery standards.

To be successful within this role, you will need to display a passion for excellent customer service. The individual will be a self-starter who is welcoming and able to manage a strong team. Attention to detail is essential with a focus on consistent quality of product and presentation.

Essential Qualifications

- HND / Degree or equivalent in hospitality and catering management.
- Varied experience at management level, in similar high profile, high turnover sites.
- Train the trainer qualification with proven ability to train and develop staff.
- Intermediate food and hygiene qualifications and Level 3 food safety.
- Commercially minded: with a knowledge of seasonal trends of the industry.
- Personal License holder.
- Excellent communicator.

- Train and develop staff to ensure quality service and standards are continuously met.
- Able to be calm under pressure and a positive attitude at all times.
- Motivate and manage a large team.
- Utilise allocated staff effectively to perform the best and most efficient service to the Club’s members.
- Communicate effectively with staff on all levels.
- Follow all Safety and Hygiene regulations.
- Complete all Administrative tasks required.
