We are looking for an enthusiastic and practical person to join our Estates Team as a Estate manager at Virgin Trains. The Estates Team manage a portfolio of 20+ station and office properties across the country, centred around our key Station locations from Rugby to Carlisle on the West Coast Main Line. We are also involved in property issues that relate to Network Rail Managed Stations such as Euston, Birmingham New Street, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

We work with our partners at Network Rail and our key suppliers to Maintain, Repair and Renew station assets across the network. We have on-going streams of project work, including enhancements, renewals and dilapidations. We also work in partnership with other stakeholders, such as Local Authorities, and external organisations.

Working as part of the VT Estates Team you will be regionally based in the North region managing stations between Warrington Bank Quay up to Glasgow and Edinburgh. You will have managed hard and soft services within a facilities environment and have experience in Health and Safety compliance to ensure that the required standards are achieved and maintained across the estate.

As the Estate manager you will be responsible for providing a Customer Focused approach with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. To be successful in the role you must be a highly motivated individual, who has excellent attention to detail and is capable of working under their own initiative.

The customer is at the heart of everything we do and we promote and measure continuous improvement via the National Passenger Surveys.

What you’ll need as the Estate manager to succeed:

• 2 years’ experience in Facilities Management preferred
• Associate/Membership of BIFM
• IT skills
• NEBOSH or IOSH preferred
• Experienced in managing Facilities contracts
• Experience of providing customer service
• Demonstrable experience of Safety with regards to commercial properties and maintenance activities.
