Maintenance Supervisor Days
An experienced maintenance supervisor required for a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer near to Chester.
Your new company
The company are a supplier of plastic moulded components to the automotive industry. They have a number of sites in the UK and oversees. The company have recently gone through a massive expansion due to new contract wins and are looking for someone to oversee their maintenance department.
Your new role
As a maintenance supervisor you will have a mix of hands on and hands off responsibility. You will report directly to and work alongside the site engineering manager to ensure that TPM is completed and aim to maximise machine outputs. You will be involved in and contribute to daily and weekly meetings to optimise production planning. You will manage a team of hands on maintenance engineers and contribute to the physical workload when required. There is a number of other responsibilities that come with this as senior role which includes management of contractors, dealing and negotiating with suppliers, health and safety contribution and the development of the department as a whole.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be qualified to degree level but other relevant qualifications such as HNC will be considered You will have experience within a tier 1 or FMCG environment. You will have experience with PLC and robotics and hold a 17th edition certificate. You will have knowledge of tools such as APQP, PPAP and FMEA.
