Person Specification for HLTA
You will need to be an intelligent, capable individual either has an impressive academic record of 2:1 or better in your degree and previous experience working with children who have complex health and learning needs. Alternatively, the school would like to meet highly skilled and experienced HLTA’s who are looking to make the next move in their career. You should have the capability to inspire all pupils you support effectively and show an empathy for those around you.
About the HLTA Role
In this HLTA position you will be supporting learning in a general capacity, across the school. Experience is vital in this HLTA role as you will be expected to hit the ground running. Your responsibilities will include working with pupils to help them progress academically, giving them the support they need by assisting them on a 1:1 basis. Your responsibilities will include looking at how to develop specific SEN resources and honing your talents with the support of a Senior Teacher.
