My client is currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join our current technical team.
We are currently looking for a professional, and focused Quality Manager to help lead the site technical operation which will include continuing to develop the Quality based culture on site.
The purpose of the role is to lead the Quality Team at Site level, developing and delivering against set processes and practices, and helping to ensure that products are manufactured to meet the food safety and quality standards required both by law and by customers through verification of standards. The role takes responsibility for effective management of the Quality function to ensure that the highest standards of food safety of our products and processes are maintained and improved continuously.
In addition to on-site technical/quality support you will be involved in developing the on-going positive relationships with customers and external agencies including auditors.
The mind-set we are seeking is one built around identifying opportunities and delivering solutions, which add value to the business. The role will drive the Technical function forward ensuring continued success in BRC audits and developing the Q.A culture on site.

The successful candidate must have outstanding communication skills and have experience in a similar role working within Food production
Essential Requirements for this role:
·Good verbal and written communication skills.
·Proven auditing skills.
·Ability to work to deadlines.
·HACCP Qualification Minimum Level 2.
·1-3 years' experience in food manufacturing or similar role, with good computer skills. Attitude and application are more important than formal qualifications.

Desirable Requirements for this role:
·Degree (or equivalent) in food science or a related science subject.
·Management of a Quality team within Food Manufacturing.

This role involves supervising staff and you will need to take accountability for ensuring the good quality output of your teams work. We are looking for individuals with a Pro- active and positive approach who are flexible, reliable, and accountable. You should be able to work as part of a team and motivate your team to get the best from them. Having a can do attitude is vital and you must be able to work confidently without constant or direct supervision. You must also be able to work alongside other departments within the business in particular the operations team.

A good understanding of English and maths is required. Completing required documentation accurately, and with attention to detail is essential for this role. An intermediate level of computer skills is also essential.

This role reports into the Technical Manager.

Full training will be given to the successful applicant.

Days of work are Monday to Friday and the core hours of work are 8am - 5pm.
Flexibility is essential for this role as depending on business requirements working hours may vary.
