I am representing a Secondary School in Slough who are looking for a Music teacher on a part-time basis (0.4 or 0.6) to join their expanding team. However, this could be a full-time role if the successful candidate can also teach Drama.

The school has cultivated a very positive environment in which students go out of their way to be exceptionally welcoming, friendly and well-behaved. The school is set in impressive grounds and the building itself is very impressive and modern. The school is relatively new, with a sixth form provision being added in September 2018. This will bring with it opportunities for further career development and progression.

In their most recent Ofsted report, it was commented that relationships between staff and students are consistently respectful and positive.

Testimonials from parents have commented that they are impressed at the level of teaching at the academy, as well as the school's commitment to developing children holistically. The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities for students, making it a vibrant and exciting place to learn and to work.

The school is also committed to the development of its staff and supporting them to become outstanding teachers. For NQTs, they offer a comprehensive programme of induction and mentoring.

We require an enthusiastic high calibre Music and/or Drama teacher who has exceptional subject knowledge.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant Degree and teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrate sound classroom practice and innovation.
  • Teach across the ability range at Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly KS5)
  • Play a full and active role in the continual development of high quality teaching and learning in their subject/s.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of young people. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check (DBS).
