Your new role
Your new role will be to oversee all aspects of warehouse and distribution operations, whilst managing warehouse staff to ensure that daily business requirements are cost effectively met. You will proactively plan the daily/weekly workload for employees ensuring daily staffing levels are within budgeted parameters. You will have responsibility of maintaining a high level of health and safety, a high level of housekeeping is adhered to and . responsibility for opening site and ensuring daily lock-down procedures are carried out effectively (site key holder).
What you'll need to succeed
You will need warehousing experience in a 1st line management role, and the ability to handle pressure in a time sensitive environment. Strong man management and communication skills are imperative to be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. You must display a flexible and committed approach, with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
