Premier Pathways is an innovative new program which allows potential Primary KS1 Teachers the opportunity to be accredited with a full Level-7 PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) AND 60 credits towards a Master’s degree at the University of Buckingham. The aspiring Primary KS1 Teacher will be joining a program in which there is no debt, fees or expenditure whatsoever on the part of the applicant, you will also be given a training salary of over £16,000. The program is designed to help assist the Primary KS1 teacher be as confident and comfortable during their NQT year as possible, we do this by giving you 3.5x the amount of classroom experience than other PGCE’s.

The ideal Primary KS1 Teacher will have a strong academic background, be personable and approachable, and have experience working with children in some capacity. The perfect Primary KS1 Teacher will have strong motivations for going in to teaching and show passion and dedication for why they want to join the South West London Premier Pathways program. The applying Primary KS1 Teacher should be porous to learning new pedagogical techniques and be receptive to feedback from teachers and mentors within the school they are placed in.

The Premier Pathways program is divided in to 3 sections in which you will go on a journey from having reduced responsibilities (co-teaching, 1:1, small groups) all the way to having your own class, classroom and lesson plans. The Primary KS1 Teacher will be able to dictate the speed at which they reach the end goal as we believe that natural and organic development in to teaching is the foundation of success within education. The autonomy and freedom given to the Primary KS1 Teacher will allow them to truly connect with their school in South West London. Overall, the program aims to develop top quality graduates in to the best teachers they can be.
