International Managed Services Organisation within the Building Services industry. Our client is looking to add to their team in the UK. This role will offer you the opportunity to work on a large number of projects across the UK with hands on approach required. Their clients are large household names and you will be required to travel on a daily basis to their sites nationwide.

The main role and responsibilities are included below for your perusal.

Role Requirements
(Professional and technical expertise)
Knowledge of Electrical Services installation. Some design knowledge preferred.
Working knowledge of Mechanical Services (heating, ventilation and pipework an advantage.
MCIBSE/IET or HNC/HND + appropriate experience or equivalent
Knowledge of Contracts would be useful
Ability to prioritise own workload
Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation
Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel, etc
Ability to work to deadlines
Site quality control and inspections.
Delivery of contract and program management - managing contractors' progress, information and document flow etc.
Ability to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet software
Understanding of BS standards, and industry standards, codes of practice, and building regulations
Managerial Skills

Role Responsibilities

Responsible for project administration, design, commissioning and handover of projects in various sectors of the construction industry. Undertakes a client facing role in the development and coordination of engineering project services for M1&E installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.
Undertake site quality control inspections of electrical and mechanical1 building services installations, and issue inspection schedules and/or reports.
Liaise with client representatives and appropriate contractors with respect to inspections and completion of defects.
Review of 3rd party information including:

*Design calculations
*Electrical and mechanical1 design drawings, and equipment selections/schedules
*Method statements and risk assessments
*Testing and commissioning documentation
*Handover documentation
*Building user guides and log books
*As built record information

Management of testing and commissioning process, including witness testing. This may also include the appointment of 3rd party specialist commissioning engineers to undertake commissioning validation
1 Mechanical elements will be with guidance/support from senor mechanical discipline as required
Surveys tests and reports on existing electrical installations
Assistance in the preparation of electrical design information, including liaison with 3rd party designers where appropriate, comprising calculations, drawings, specifications and schedules.
Assistance with the preparation of Log Books, Manuals and Building User Guides
Performance and installation monitoring of buildings
Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements

Undertake Contract Administration duties and Project Management duties to include:

*Chair meetings including preparation of agenda's and meeting minutes
*Report progress against construction programmes
*Assessment and certification of valuations, and payment certification, including contract variations
*Liaison with PQS where applicable
*Preparation of client reports
*Complete project completion documents
*Assist with asset management including:
*Production of asset registers and condition reports
*Agree asset tagging methods
*Undertake asset tagging

Day to day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with and provides advice to client Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams Commissioning management including dilapidation surveys and testing Validation and checking of, tender and contractual documentation
