Your new company
Based at our clients headquarters in Cumbernauld, the Quality Department supports two business units and increase activity has resulted in a Quality Engineer vacancy. The majority of products developed and manufactured by our client are suited to the Aerospace and Defence sectors but they also get involved in further sectors such as Medical, Energy and Industrial.
Your new role
Answering to the Quality Manager, you will be expected to support the internal audit programme, performing the audits to the required industry standards. In addition to planned audits, you will be expected to respond to external audits and on occasions assist with audits being performed in other business units. You will co-ordinate and facilitate the corrective and preventative actions programmes, where relevant implement change and manage the Record Management System and Quality Management System. Lastly, you will coordinate Customer and Vendor approvals.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience working in a QA role, ideally within a Electronics environment. The successful candidate will have experience working to ISO 9001 standards and have been involved in the transition to ISO9001:2015. It would be advantageous if applicants have experience performing internal audits to EASA Part 145 and EASA Part 21 standards. You will have a background maintaining and improving the Quality Management System and co-ordinating the Corrective and Preventative Action programs.
