Established in the 1900's this business has a strong and proud history of manufacturing and they continue to be at the forefront of product development and supply chain management. Due to retirement, they are now looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to work a permanent night shift.
Your new role
You will work to improve operations by maximising production and minimising downtime by ensuring machines are in the best possible mechanical and electrical condition at all times, thus ensuring that a consistent, high quality product can be produced at all times. You will from time to time need to source parts and services that may be required to complete repairs thus ensuring that any parts or services required are 'right first time', cost effective and can be supplied in a timely manner. You will respond promptly to calls for assistance with the utmost of urgency and make sure all repairs are completed to the highest standard.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have completed an engineering apprenticeship (Electrical or Mechanical LEVEL 3)and be able to carry out fault-finding tasks both mechanically and electrically thus experience in a working maintenance environment is required. Your knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics will be highly useful as will your experience of PLCs. You will be highly motivated and flexible with excellent communication skills both written and spoken.

You will be introduced to the team and will undergo a training plan that will consist of you spending time in all areas of the department, working with the maintenance team. You'll then gain the experience needed to understand machine process and procedures. After relevant knowledge has been gained you will move to a permanent night shift to work within a team f highly skilled Maintenance Engineers.
