***2 Form entry primary school
***Based in Birmingham
***Amazing school building and atmosphere
***Yr 6 class teacher
***September start 2017
***QTS required

My client school in Birmingham is looking to recruit a Year 6 Teacher from September. The school occupies a large, very pleasant site with three playgrounds, a large playing field, a labyrinth, a woodland area and a pond area. The building is very modern and reflects the schools interest in environmental protection as well as providing a high-quality working environment for both adults and children.

The school is an expanding two form entry primary with around 460 pupils. It supports children from minority ethnic backgrounds (around 30%) as well as EAL children and those with special educational needs.

The school are keen to appoint an experienced Yr 6 teacher with QTS to start with them in September. The appointed teacher will be responsible for delivering the curriculum in an exciting and fun way whilst ensuring that all children, despite ability, meet the necessary learning criteria for the year. A good understanding of topic based approach to the curriculum will stand potential teachers in very good stead for this position. The recruited teacher will also be expected to take responsibility in leading a curriculum area at the school.

Although the school are ideally looking for an experienced teacher to lead this Year 6 class they may consider NQTs that can demonstrate a fantastic attitude, good subject knowledge and have been graded as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ whilst on professional placement.

If you’re looking to work in one of the nicest primary schools in the area and hold QTS in the U.K then this could be the ideal position. Please email a copy of your CV to Patrick at Edustaff today.

If you're an NQT or experienced teacher looking for a position from September and this particular vacancy or location isn’t suitable then please contact Patrick at Edustaff to discuss other vacancies and how we can help find you that all important foundation year position- I cover schools in south Birmingham and Solihull.
