Conference Portfolio Manager - Flagship Large Scale Event

Basic Salary Up to £40,000+ Profit Share

Based in London + travel

Great opportunity for an experienced Conference Producer to manage a portfolio of large scale B2B events; including a flagship conference.

The role

As an experienced conference producer, you will have responsibility for creating, managing and delivering the events in your portfolio. Working closely with other division within the business and external contacts to ensure the smooth running of your event.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Research - Conducting in-depth, telephone-based research and analysis of information
  • Become an expert - Identify and examining industry trends and issues
  • Create the agenda - use your knowledge & creative writing skills to create an inspirational agenda
  • Network - Maintaining your own senior advisory network for each event
  • Speaker recruitment - Identify & secure industry leaders for your events
  • Project manage - leading your event team by working with sponsorship, marketing, sales and the event management teams to drive revenue growth
  • Attend the event - be onsite to manage and ensure the event runs smoothly

The person

  • Commercially focused Graduate with great business acumen
  • With at least 2 years experience producing commercial business conferences
  • You may also have B2B sales experience such as; recruitment, IT solution sales, Account management
  • Excellent research skills- desk, phone and face to face
  • Strong at analysing & communicating information
  • Excellent Creative writing skills - journalism background would be useful
  • Project management skills - You need to be strong at planning & organising
  • Working to deadlines will be part of your daily work life
  • Team orientated but equally as strong working independently
  • Real attention to detail
  • Able to work as part of a team in a corporate working environment

For this position we are not looking for event managers but event producers- people who are love to research new topics and pick up the phone an discuss what is happening in the industry. Producers who are motivated to find the best possible speakers for their event and secure them!
