Quality Engineer required for one of our clients on the outskirts of Taunton.

Working closely with the quality, regulatory, production, warehouse, purchasing, planning and admin teams

This role involves the following:

Supporting the Quality Manager in the daily tasks of internal Audits, calibration and validation of
equipment, NCR's, CAPA's, Reworks, Concessions, Pest control and environment testing ensuring that
Regulatory and Specification requirements are adhered to.

Internal Process development, verification, update and/or to create MIS documents and support
operator training.

Investigate returned items from Customer Complaints and prepare CCIR Reports and CAPA
management.

Support and manage Supplier Quality, related to non conforming parts, SCAR's and Supplier
Specification creation and updates.

Participation in non conformance identification, control and problem solving.

Keeping records of inspection, internal test data, participation in product investigations and audits.

Using computer based software to enter data, create reports, create KPI charts and manage
document configuration control for the company.

Development and continual support of the Quality Control Team.

The following skills are required or have been gained through experience in a quality engineering role needed to support the application:

Ability to read, understand and create detailed technical instructions/quality standards.

A good level of literacy, with the ability to read and write clearly & concisely.

Good computer literacy, data entry, the use of Microsoft Office suite and e-mail.

Inspection of product if required, on site or at customer's premises.

Ensuring specific requests from Supervision or Quality are implemented.

Using test equipment to capture and analyse measurement data. This will involve reporting and
internal document creation to record results and records.

Giving guidance to colleagues on specific product knowledge or inspection criteria.

Supporting the QA department in all quality engineering activities.

Participation in any internal or external training that is appropriate and required for the role whilst
ensuring that you are working to the latest Specifications, Regulatory, Certification, Work Instructions
and Procedures.
