The Night Time Customer Service Officer will provide accommodation administration services, taking bookings, allocating rooms and monitoring payments and charges.

The role is based in Newport

The Newport based Night Time Customer Service Officer accountability's are as follows;

  • Respond to and record incidents in the Village, alerting the Operations Manager accordingly

  • Ensure all matters that can affect the health and safety of residents or visitors are followed up accurately and quickly

  • Receive payment of rent and other charges from residents, in accordance with residential policies and procedures

  • Follow up accounts and assist in the management village debt

  • Ensure payment plans are clearly communicated to residents

  • Perform end of day / banking reconciliation

  • Liaise with maintenance staff, security and contractors

  • Issue and close maintenance work orders where required

  • Administer the allocation of rooms

  • Update and maintain computerised records of residents

  • Conduct room inspections

  • Ensure the accurate maintenance of records relating to maintenance, Health and Safety and incidents in the Village

  • Establish positive relationships and provide excellent customer service

  • Reception

  • Provide excellent customer service through the operations of the reception services of the Village

  • Manage the initial contact with residents and visitors

  • Prepare and issue keys to residents

  • Check in all individuals and groups, ensuring that payments are received for all bookings in accordance with residential procedures

  • Liaise with and respond to resident queries in a friendly and efficient manner

  • Monitor and update front-office/reception systems and processes as required

  • Track, record and report the source of sales enquiries

  • Manage booking enquiries from residents and visitors

  • Make outbound telephone sales calls

  • Update the sales database


The successful candidate will come from a strong administrative/reception background. Previous hospitality experience is desirable but not essential

Job Offer

A salary of £18,000 is on offer to the Night Time Customer Service Officer for a 40 hour week (5 out of 7 days per week on a shift pattern, 4pm - 12am)
